Pressure switch MDR F..VdS

MDR-F pressure switches are available in different versions and are suitable for universal use. Depending on version, they are used for monitoring and control of pressure in liquids and gases, for process control tasks, for pressure monitoring in cooling & lubrication systems and for automatic switching of compressor and pump motors.

MDR-F...VdS – Version as VdS control pressure switch; these pressure switches are intended mainly for use in permanently installed water extinguishing systems, sprinkler systems, fire protection systems. Requirement profiles, quality and functionality are tested intensively in specific and demanding tests.

Independent of the application, one distinguishes between:

• alarm pressure switches (MDR-F 2...VdS with die-cast aluminium pressure connector) – which are manufactured in a pressure range of 0.35 up to 1 bar, limited with a minimum difference
• pressure switches (MDR-F X ...VdS with plastic pressure connector), whereby "X" = 10 bar and the max. pressure difference between cut-in and cut-out pressure is 1.5 bar. Fitted with industrial screw clamp, optional accessories are available. Pressure difference adjustment (standard).
• As Reset switch, only the alarm pressure switch is listed as standard as Max. Reset.

However, on request all VdS pressure switches are available with every Reset function (see Reset switch), optionally with a Viton® diaphragm and/or also with a pressure connector with 3/8" female thread.

Moreover, customer-specific circuit boards with individual functions and LED display exist or are available as integrated modules.

The pressure switch MDR-F...VdS (VdS pressure switch) is fitted as standard with the possibility for pressure difference adjustment. Two adjusting screws (P1 und P2) permit switching point and hysteresis to be adjusted, whereby the cut-out pressure is adjusted with screw P1. Pressure difference and thereby the cut-in point is adjusted with screw P2. By selecting a pair of values for cut-in and cut-out pressures, an intersection point is determined in the diagram. If the point lies within the shaded area, this pair of values can be adjusted on the pressure switch. If the point lies outside the shaded area, this pair of values cannot be adjusted on the pressure switch.
