Short Description

Control pressure switch as DNV (GL) version for use in shipbuilding and for seaworthy applications. These pressure switches are used mainly in marine engineering, particularly in shipbuilding and plant construction, and have GL approval (Germanischer Lloyd) - DNV (Det Norske Veritas).

Applications

  • Shipbuilding & offshore
  • Compressors
  • Pumps

Certicates & Permits

  • DNV (GL)
  • GL

At a glance

  • Control pressure switch for AC voltage
  • for pumps / for compressors
  • DNV (GL)-approved
  • for shipbuilding & seaworthy applications
  • Die-cast aluminium or plastic piston as pressure sensor element & stainless steel coupling
  • gold-plated contacts "G" (optional)
  • Motor switching capacity 0.55 kW
  • Cut-out pressure ≤250 bar
  • 1-pole (change-over)

MDR-F pressure switches are available in different versions and are suitable for universal use. Depending on version, they are used for monitoring and control of pressure in liquids and gases, for process control tasks, for pressure monitoring in cooling & lubrication systems and for automatic switching of compressor and pump motors. MDR-F...GL pressure switch for shipbuilding and seaworthy applications. These pressure switches are used mainly in marine engineering, particularly in shipbuilding and plant construction, and have DNV GL approval (Det Norske Veritas / Germanischer Lloyd). Our DNV (GL) pressure switches can be used up to max. 250 bar. Pressure switches with a plastic pressure connector are approved for use up to 12.5 bar. All DNV (GL) pressure switches can also be fitted with a Reset function. Fitted with industrial screw clamp, optional accessories are available.

The pressure switch MDR-F..GL is fitted as standard with the possibility for pressure difference adjustment. Two adjusting screws (P1 and P2) permit switching point and hysteresis to be adjusted, whereby the cut-out pressure is adjusted with screw P1. Pressure difference and thereby the cut-in point is adjusted with screw P2. By selecting a pair of values for cut-in and cut-out pressures, an intersection point is determined in the diagram. If the point lies within the shaded area, this pair of values can be adjusted on the pressure switch. If the point lies outside the shaded area, this pair of values cannot be adjusted on the pressure switch.

Because of the wide range of pressure switch versions, please contact us if you have questions on a special application or have technical requirements.
